BIOGRAPHY

Coach Ken is a distance running coach and a previous member of the US Army World Class Athlete Program.

While still running competitively, he has a great passion for coaching athletes who want to improve and set new personal best times. He has helped dozens of athletes qualify for the Boston Marathon, and many other athletes complete their first couch to 5k races. He has coached over 100 athletes of all ability levels, ranging in distances from the mile up to the marathon.

As an athlete, he has run at the high school, collegiate, and post-collegiate level. With his military background and experience from serving as both a combat arms and intelligence officer, he is very analytical and detail oriented. His coaching style and philosophy is athlete centric, so all aspects of the coaching he provides is unique to the individual.

Coach Ken also shares with each athlete a Strength & Exercise Mobility Program that is hyperlinked with recommended stretches, mobility exercises, and strength drills. Coach Ken originally created this document while suffering from severe plantar fasciitis back in 2014 and 2015. This is more than basic maintenance work and helps in preventing unnecessary injuries that often occur in running. This program will also help improve running mechanics, form, and overall efficiency. After being sidelined for most of a year, by using this program he was able to fully recover and returned to competitive running, placing 4th at the 2016 Marine Corps Marathon.

Amy S
Kenneth is an amazing coach-- he provided extremely in depth analysis on my running gait and gave me custom stretches and workouts to improve my hip flexibility and my calf strength. Ken is extremely knowledgable, I learned a lot about the mechanics of running and the importance of choosing the right footwear.
